Make A "Hats Off 4 Cancer" HAT

Occassionally, we are asked if we have a pattern to make hats to donate or just for fun. I asked a nice lady from a St Louis sewing club to provides us with a pattern. By the way, we will be getting more hat patterns.

She recommanded that the crafter use polar fleece material, because of its softness, colors that are available, material characteristics, cost and it is easy to work with.

Sewing Directions

1) Start with a material size of 26" wide by 32" long.

2) Using a 1/2" seam, sew length wise to make into a tube.

3) Fold the tube in half, the wrong side together (16")

4) Cut fringe 3 1/2 " from cut edge approximately 1/2" cut

5) With yarn, warp and tie at the bottom of the fringe.
